Gustavo Awad is an attorney, who holds an LLB (Hons.) in Law from the University of Exeter (2017) and an LL.M. in International Financial and Commercial Law from King’s College London (2020), awarded with distinction. He also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
He joined the firm in 2021 and works in the areas of Sports and Entertainment Law, Corporate Law, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. He has significant experience handling disputes before the CBF, CBMA, FIFA, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and various other sports dispute resolution bodies.
Gustavo is a founding member of the Sports Law Study Group (GEDD) at PUC-Rio and a member of the Young Arbitrators Committee of the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA). He is the author of several industry publications and co-author of Football & the Law (2nd edition – Bloomsbury International).
